Karl Alexander

Karl is charged with leading all aspects of our Mystic Greenways Program. Karl served as an urban planning and design consultant for open space and greenways, mobility, and placemaking projects in the Greater Boston area, a few highlights of which include the Mary Ellen Welch Greenway in East Boston, the Alewife Linear Park in Cambridge, and the Neighborways program in Somerville. Karl holds a BA in Politics from Bates College and an MS in Urban Planning and Community Development from Umass Boston’s School for the Environment. A resident of East Somerville, in his spare time Karl enjoys cooking, gardening, hiking, and spending time with his new son, Theo.
